Unplugged Concert

This week's Unplugged Concert was an opportunity for our non-classical musicians to take to the stage!



Failand redevelopment approved

We are delighted to announce that we have received planning permission for the extensive redevelopment of our sports grounds at Failand.



'It was more muddy than we expected . . .'

It was early start when Year 7 set off for their team building trip to Margam Park in South Wales.



Keep it steady!

The weather stayed fine on Brandon Hill on Wednesday as the Year 9 boys were given physical challenges to test their ability to work effectively with others and to make new friends.



Added Value at an all time high!

There has been much to celebrate at QEH over the summer.  Not only have pupils been awarded another set of outstanding results, but the school has also seen the best value-added score in over five years.



Pupils achieve excellent GCSE results!

Over half of all students taking GCSEs at QEH this year have been celebrating straight 9/8/7 grades, with more than a quarter of pupils achieving 10 or more 9/8/A* grades.


 

'Powerful and Poignant' Private Peaceful

There are few novels that fully capture the horrors and injustices of war like Michael Morpurgo's Private Peaceful. With Simon Reade's screenplay adapted to the Bristol Old Vic and Edinburgh Fringe Festival stages, and into a film in 2012, the QEH theatre company had tough competition. And thoroughly succeeded in stunning the audience with the professionalism and scale of the production.
