Year 5 CurriculumEaster Term, 2010 2010 promises to be busy from the start.
The topic we are studying is Ancient Greece and we will be looking at the lives of the people, the world in which they lived and how we know about them. As well as the work we will be doing in school, we hope to go to the Old Vic to learn about Greek theatre. In Science lessons (taught by Mr. Morris), the boys will study the following topics: properties of materials, electricity and space and time.
There will be plenty of football this term, with six fixtures to play. We begin with a football coaching session from Stuart Campbell on Wednesday 6th January. Games lessons will be on a Wednesday and a Friday afternoon with matches on a Wednesday. Shin pads will be needed! PE lessons for the first half of term will be in the gym. This will take place on a Tuesday morning starting 5th January.
