Sports Day - Record Numbers

Sports day took place in wonderful sunshine (in the afternoon, at least).

Carr House was the overall winner, closely followed by Hartnell's.

At one point all four Houses were within 20 points of each other, making for a tense and close contest right up until the end of the afternoon.

Thanks especially to the Friends who were overwhelmed with takers for the barbeque, clothing cupboard, sweet stall, coconut shy and, of course, the Pimms stall. All the burgers and sausages, as well as 300 glasses of Pimms, were sold in record time by the enthusiastic team of parents with eager queues for them all afternoon. There were brilliant sales of ice-creams with over 320 sold!

There was also a record turnout from parents at the event, and one Sports Day field record - congratulations to Harry Copock who broke the Under-14 Javelin record!
