Readathon Raises Money For Childrens Charities

A big thank you to all Year 7 pupils who took part in Readathon this year and managed to raise over £500 through Sponsorship for reading lots of different books. The money raised will be spent supporting children and young people in the region with cancer and other serious illnesses.

 

A special mention should be made of Ben Hamilton from 7X who read the most books, Rajan Sahota 7Y who collected the most sponsors and Nick Lay 7X who raised the most money for the event. The three boys (pictured) were awarded a certificate last week in Assembly to recognise their efforts.
