QEH ensures that a boy’s talent is nurtured

Gifted & Talented

The QEH 'Gifted and Talented' programme is co-ordinated by our Head of Learning Enhancement, Mrs Dullroy. She ensures that a boy’s talent is nurtured through extra provision and activities designed to offer real excitement and challenge in his learning. Equally, she works with parents to agree the extent of extra provision so that a boy is never over-burdened.

At QEH, two thirds of our pupils qualify as ‘gifted learners’ in national terms. Although we have our own ‘Gifted and Talented’ programme for the most able, no pupil feels singled out or left out, and we are very conscious of the need to provide stretch and challenge for all.

All John Carr Academic Scholars are recognized under the school’s ‘Gifted and Talented’ programme.
