Cricket

Cricket is played throughout the Summer term and there are three grass squares at Failand, in addition to seven cricket bays.

On average, the 1st XI plays 12 matches per year with various touring teams making an appearance at the end of the Summer term. QEH runs 'A' and 'B' teams for all age groups which gives all keen cricketers the chance to play in school fixtures.

The School employs a cricket professional during the season and teams regularly contain a number of boys who participate in their relevant age group at County level for Gloucestershire. Seniors compete in a local schools' 20-20 competition with the other school age groups are involved in the Avon Schools' Cup.

Recent cricket tours have taken teams to Grenada and the West Indies.
