Rugby

Rugby XVs is played throughout the Autumn and during the first half of the Spring term. We have over 20 acres of fields at Failand, only 10 minutes bus ride away, comprising seven rugby pitches and an excellent modern pavilion with changing facilities. Sevens is played, at a high level, in the second half of the Spring term culminating in the Rosslyn Park Sevens in March.

All boys in Years 7 and 8 participate in this, our main school sport, with over 200 fixtures played each year against many of the best rugby playing schools in the South West. Many boys represent Bristol Schools at all levels.

Teams have also seen success in the Daily Mail Schools' Competition with teams advancing to the later rounds.

There have been annual tours over recent years, most notably to Australia, New Zealand and Fiji, South Africa, as well as Chile, Paraguay and Argentina in South America.
