Academic ProgressYour academic studies remain your priority in the Sixth Form and progress is observed by all your teachers especially early in the Lower Sixth when the pace of the work can come as a bit of a shock! After a few weeks in the Sixth Form your teachers will complete a detailed report on your initial progress, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and particularly your suitability for the course. It is hoped that any difficulties can then be noticed early rather than, perhaps, too late. Thereafter, in addition to termly reports, we use a system of assessments which gives teachers the opportunity to pass on comments about your progress formally, although informal discussion between tutors and teachers also plays an important role. Your tutor will then discuss the assessments with you, monitored by the Head of Sixth Form, and occasionally the Headmaster will wish to see you either to praise your achievements or to encourage a more positive approach!
