Activities

The Sixth Form Centre has a state of the art Common Room at its core with coffee bar, seating areas and computers. There is a Sixth Form Council which presents and discusses matters affecting the Year groups with the Head and Assistant Head of Sixth Form.

"The Sixth Form Centre has a state of the art Common Room at its core."

The Sixth Form has always been involved with raising funds for charities; indeed it is through their lead that Children in Need days in recent years have been so successful.

The Sixth Form run the Charity Committee for the whole school. Other charities that have been supported include Caring at Christmas, Outlook, and Research into Melanoma through events such as sponsored soccer matches and food collections.

There are frequent contacts with other schools in Bristol, both social and academic, and there are opportunities to attend lectures and plays at other schools and the two universities. In recent years students have attended the West Country European Youth Parliament at Badminton School, a UCAS Open Day at Bath University, in addition to music and drama performances.

Another important and popular activity is the Young Enterprise Scheme where teams of students have the opportunity to set up and run a business. Such has been the demand recently that several companies have existed and we now run our competition between them.

The development and continuation of these activities depends on your interest and involvement.
