Paddling their own canoes!

Year 5 pupils had a fantastic time at their residential camp in the Wye Valley.

They learned the importance of listening and working together when playing team building games and they created salt dough figures and practised archery.  Practical outdoor skills were on the agenda too with shelter building and fire lighting.  The boys' building skills were also challenged at a different level as they attempted to design and build a 'vehicle' which would bring their egg safely back to the ground without a single crack in the shell.  Some groups were more successful than others!

The canoeing trip on the River Wye was a highlight for many and, of course, no camp would be complete without some songs around the campfire.
