The Year 7 Scholars’ Programme boys participated in a fantastic Retreat Day hosted by the Bristol Folk House conference centre.

Fuelled by delicious hot chocolate and pastries from the Folk House Cafe, the introductory session provided some helpful background to the programme and an overview of the various components, including subject enrichment projects, enrichment reading novels and twilight enrichment sessions. Pupils then listened to one another’s presentations on the themes of identity, creativity and inspiration, and concluded with a discussion of key quotations from writers across the ages,

After three and a half house of hard intellectual work, they had built up quite an appetite! They were well rewarded by a fabulous lunch at the award-winning Honest Burgers, and rounded out the Retreat Day by learning a new skill-set: how to play proper baseball (to the considerable amusement of those who were enjoying a sunny afternoon in Queen’s Square)!

Ollie is a QEH 'lifer', as he joined QEH Juniors in Year 3, eleven years ago.  It's been great to watch his development through the years, both on and off the pitch.

Meet The QEH Kickboxing British Champion!

As well as being Head of Religion and Philosophy, Zak leads our digital vision. He was instrumental in developing our excellent online learning offering during lockdown, much to the relief of our parents, and is now leading the roll out of our school device programme.

Into the Wood!

Mr Dunn, Mr Martineau and five prefects, including the Captain of Boarders, took the Harvest Festival donations that QEH had received to The Community of the Sisters of the Church in St Paul's.
